Production of the Iconic VW Beetle Has Ended, So Get Yours Now!

Earlier this month, Volkswagen announced that the company's last Beetle model had rolled off the production line. Sadly, this means that your time to buy the Volkswagen Beetle is running short, since what remains of our remaining inventory is all you have left. This is the second time Volkswagen has ceased production of the Beetle, and there are no current plans we're aware of to revive the model in the future.

When the New Beetle was released in 1998, it marked the advent of what's known as "modern retro" design language in the automotive industry. A third-generation Beetle was released in 2012, with both coupe and convertible versions proving to be popular with the American car-buying public.

As a way to acknowledge that 2019 would be the last year of production, Volkswagen introduced the Beetle Final Edition model in two trim levels: SE and SEL. Offered again as a coupe or convertible, this Beetle is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and chrome trimmings, body-color side mirrors, and a special Beetle badge. Coupe models feature a sunroof.

The Final Beetle was offered in two special colors: Safari Uni, which pays homage to the Harvest Moon Beige tone from the New Beetle era, and a Stonewashed Blue tone that's similar to the 1970s Jeans Beetle. Additional colors offered include platinum gray, white, and deep black pearl.
