Exterior Design
The bold design of the 2027 Volkswagen Atlas ushers in a new era for our midsize three-row SUV. New front and rear lighting elements include twin LED light bars, an illuminated VW badge, and a full-width LED taillight strip. Other updates include new 20 and 21-inch wheel designs and new color options, including Blackberry, Sacramento Green, and Sandstone.
Interior Design
Inside the cabin, new materials and upgraded tech systems come together for a refined, spacious experience near Houston. Center console space is improved thanks to a new steering column mounted shifter, while new available add-ons for the Atlas include premium leather furnishing and ambient cabin lighting.
Performance
The 2027 Volkswagen Atlas is the most powerful version yet, using a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine to deliver 282 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and Front-Wheel Drive are standard, with 4Motion All-Wheel Drive optional across the board.
Technology
The 2027 Volkswagen Atlas introduces a large 15-inch infotainment touchscreen for all trims except the base model, which uses a 12.9-inch touchscreen. Two wireless smartphone charging pads are available for the Atlas, while new digital cockpit technology integrates seamlessly with the updated infotainment system.
